Dresden Medical Centre holds grand opening.
The Dresden Medical Centre had its official grand opening on Saturday with a BBQ, ribbon cutting and various activities at the new facility.
Dr. John Payne, who is setting up his practice at the facility, says the new Medical Centre has a true home-town feel.
“When you walk in, first of all you notice the donation sign which indicates that certain people have donated an amount of money in memory of their family
or just to be from their family,” he said. “When you go in each room there is local art from people who have lived in Dresden for many years.”
MPP Monte McNaughton says the centre is great for Dresden and the surrounding communities.
“Being connected to local health care is very important to the people of the community and it really brings the community together,” McNaughton said.
Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope says it’s a great addition to the C-K.
“We’re setting the stage for the future growth of our community… without this primary health care it’s difficult to grow those communities,” Hope said.
The Centre is set to become fully operational tomorrow.
