Dr. Len Prins – Ridgetown

Dr. Len Prins grew up in Newmarket. In 1992 he graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School and in 1994 completed his residency in family medicine at Queen’s University. After completing his residency he relocated to Ridgetown with his wife Claire Prins and two couple established a family practice.

Dr. Prins said he and his wife decided to join the Chatham-Kent Family Health team in October to gain support for improved patient care.

He has an office practice, does nursing home care and takes care of his own patients when in hospital. Previously he worked in the emergency room and said he may return to emergency medicine in the future.

Outside of work, Dr. Prins has coached competitive swimming in the past for a period of six years.
