About patient load – We welcome you to customize your ideal family practice with us! Are you looking for a patient roster of 1200? Or are you interested in expanding to 2400 patients? Let’s discuss how the Dresden Community Healthcare Centre can help you fulfill your dream practice. Opportunities exist for you to not only provide office care but also to provide ED services, long-term care services, teaching etc. if you wish. A full-time practice of 1600 patients, will provide an annual income of approx. ~ $380,000.
About Dresden Medical Centre – Built in 2012 the facility is the jewel of the town, tucked into the downtown area and accessible to patients from the community. The building has been completely funded by the community and is maintained by the Dresden Community Healthcare Foundation. About Family Health Team – The Chatham-Kent Family Health Team is comprised of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, an Occupational Therapist, a Chiropodist, Dietitians, Physiotherapy, Diabetes Education Team, Pharmacists, Nursing staff and Admin Support. We offer a variety of programs and services to our patients and collaborative approach to care, working with Nurse Practitioners and Integrated Health Professional (IHP) staff.
The physicians within Family Health team are members of the Chatham-Kent FHO. All IHPs and administrative staff are employees of the CKFHT. Physicians practicing within the CKFHT pay a monthly overhead payment, which covers their basic medical supplies, staffing costs, EMR licensing, IT costs etc. Each physician is provided a nurse and receptionist that are well acquainted with the patients and the community alike.
